This is my final blog post for now. My month is finished and, although there were some other things on my mind that I wanted to cover here, I have decided that this is going to have to be enough.
I’ll just finish with a quick update. Liz and James are doing fine…
James has really enjoyed reading the Dr Who book. He is working quite independently on his maths. Science is mainly Biology at the moment, and we are studying the heart. The Dr Who English has led onto some script writing as part of a larger animation project. He is also giving a lot of thought to career options at the moment.
Liz is writing her novel for NaNoWriMo , building on what she learned when she wrote her Dr Who “novel”. She’s doing lots of flute and listening to lots of music, Maths, science CDroms, baking, and making Christmas presents with me. We are also making jewellery and clothes.
Both Liz and James are doing some great self portraits with an idea I was reminded about here
The idea for after Christmas is to do lots of art activities. James is going to aim at putting together a portfolio of work. The animation work he is doing is going to be part of that too. In fact we have a wide-ranging art based animation project planned, along with lots of drawing centred activities.
Both of them are really benefitting from the literacy work they are doing, and I can see a great improvement there already. So everything is moving along nicely.
