Well, today didn’t go as planned. We rang to cancel the appointment with College for the second time as I have my fourth really bad cold this year. Instead I went to see the doctor who gave me a third course of antibiotics and asked if I worked. Well, what do you say? I did say I home educate and that is on going, come sickness or health. If I’d taken days off sick we wouldn’t have done anything for 4 months.
However, we carried on and finished the literacy papers, that wasn’t taxing, R did music practice and went for a piano lesson and then in the evening went bell ringing with Explorer Scouts. This was a little disappointing as the time they had been given was 1/2 hr early (ds needs to get everywhere early, he hates being late so he was REALLY early,) and they didn’t get a go, they got a tour of the church which is very small, well, just a 14th century tower as most of it collapsed down a hillside long ago and watched a practice ring. Ds has done some actual bell-ringing with his dad at our parish church, where he rings when he has time. That was one thing he wanted to take up in earnest when he retired but he has been to busy to do it, as yet.
