Nottingham · Saturday March 24, 2007 by Lily

We set off, rather later than we’d originally hoped, in view of our colds, for Nottingham. We parked and parted company for an hour so Rupert could check out the buses and I could see what M&S sale had to offer and then met up at the Theatre Royal for the Nottingham Gang Show. I’m pleased to say the city of my birth put on a first class show. We got ourselves mentioned but people seemed confused as to whether we were Gang Show Crew or the Gang Show from Crewe and as there were only 2 of us we had to cheer loudly.

After the show, we went to Subway so ds could have his veggie sandwich and then drove home via a bus garage. We went right past the end of dd’s road but we were too ill to call in to see them as they have a small baby. As our grandson’s entry into the world was 7 weeks early, they don’t need to catch our germs.

The evening should have been spent at a 60th birthday party but we really weren’t able to manage that.
