We spent most of the day on granny matters and doing a little shopping and cleaning also dh did some digging down the bottom of the garden, very theraputic. I was trying to sort out Easter Sunday’s planned egg hunt and meal with a rapidly diminishing family group.
R went out to the cinema and drifted in and out of the house with M, and spent the evening watching sitcoms after a hearty meal. He seems happy and fairly oblivious to all the turmoil.
Granny had a ball and pin put in and is recovering well and wanting to go home. The care home was not very nice although I had understood it to be the best in the area. It did seem friendly and caring but shabby and for a meticulous lady who has lived alone for 40 years it seemed remote from what she’s been used to.
As you see HE has gone by the board, but it is Easter and R is discovering a new found independance and ease with himself and the world at large, so that really is brilliant and we can see a young man emerging and growing from the troubled boy and teenager.
Dh is leaving early tomorrow morning for Hants to relieve his sister. It will be a very difficult train journey with line closures.
