Easter Saturday · Saturday April 7, 2007 by Lily

Dh left the house at 5am to spend a few days visiting his mother in hospital in the south of England.

I went out with ds to do some shopping; he kindly agreed to carry it back as I don’t drive and we’d bought quite a few groceries for Easter. I called in at an estate agent to look at a warden assisted bungalow for granny in our town, and in a shop to look at a shelf unit for dd. Rupert then met up with M again and they spent the day together, walking between houses and meeting another friend. All of this is going our separate ways has started whilst I’ve been writing this blog.

I had a relaxing pub lunch sitting outside in the lovely sunshine with a fellow home educating friend, her mum and her son, and went back to their house for a cup of tea.

Finished off the day with some TV watching with R and some cooking for tomorrow.

I read something in The Times a few days ago that I thought was interesting. It said “Our children are the messengers we send into the future.” In context it was sadly related to bereavement, but it is quite a profound thought.
