The start of another week · Tuesday October 17, 2006 by june
I hate the feeling that time and life are rushing by so fast. It will be half term next week – already – and Grandma is visiting. Like every year I should have arranged Christmas presents to go back with her – but like every year, I haven’t.
Monday started badly – as you’ll know by now, that isn’t anything unusual. The Maths and English etc… was done, but not until the afternoon. And there wasn’t much time for anything else. Although, whilst I was having a bad morning James was enjoying himself doing 3D animation on the computer. At the same time Liz was making an Owl and some bracelets out of scoobies, and playing on the dance mat.
Liz started to plan out her NaNoWriMo novel. She is going to be aiming for 5000 words – which I think is ambitious enough for a 10 year old. She is planning to write an adventure story with a girl main character – like in her her favourite books, Lily Quench.
So, now it’s Tuesday and Liz has already read her book and is doing her flute practice. James is finishing his reading and will start his maths soon. It’s only 9.30am, so we are doing well. I’m hoping that we can have all the afternoon free to do some art today.
